It is the second type approval to B&amp;K 2245, following the PTB approval earlier this year. Both type approvals confirm the important accuracy and reliability of this new sound level meter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CEM (Centro Espa\u00f1ol de Metrolog\u00eda) is the Spanish Metrology Laboratory providing scientific and technical services. CEM measures with the highest accuracy and reliability. B&amp;K 2245 has been well received since its launch last year. With this type approval, it can now also be used for legally relevant measurements in Spain and other countries that refer to Spanish type approval.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With the type approval Br\u00fcel &amp; Kj\u00e6r now offers four CEM type approved sound level meters, covering measurements from entry level to highly advanced.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<h2>The Importance of Type Approval<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In many countries, sound level meters used for legally relevant work must be approved by the local type approval authority. To type approve a sound level meter, these authorities comprehensively test the performance of multiple samples of the unit and essential accessories.
